This part-time role requires you to engage with students during after-school and weekend hours, nurturing their skills in grades 9-12 mathematics and science. Pre-planned lessons make this position rewarding as you focus on interaction, coaching, and personalizing learning without the need for lesson preparation. Commitment to consistency through the school year—and beyond—will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach in-person to up to three students at different levels
• Implement Oxford Learning’s teaching strategies
• Document post-lesson notes for each session
• Communicate updates with students and parents regularly
• Maintain a supportive and professional demeanor
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or teaching certification in a relevant field
• Experience with tutoring high school math and science
• Proficient English communication skills
• Effective multitasking while teaching three students
• Familiarity with senior curriculum including calculus and physics
