Indigenous Child Educator

Position: Full-Time Indigenous Child Educator
NCFST in Toronto is seeking a dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator. This full-time role supports Indigenous children by implementing culturally relevant early learning programs.

In this position, you will design and deliver activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of children aged 2 to 6. Your contributions will include fostering community relationships, collaborating with families, and documentation practices to monitor child development. Key Responsibilities:

• Design holistic programs with Indigenous cultural integration

• Plan interactive activities that ensure development

• Maintain accurate child development documentation

• Engage families through effective communication

• Uphold health and safety standards in the classroom

Requirements:

• RECE with current standing;
Diploma in ECE required

• Familiarity with Indigenous cultural teachings and practices

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hiring

• Current CPR and First Aid certifications

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
