The successful candidate will be required to teach a variety of courses in the Medical Laboratory Assistant and Medical Laboratory Technology programs at North Campus. Instruction will include theory and laboratory courses across all five laboratory disciplines as well as foundational areas such as mathematics, communication, and professionalism. The incumbent may also support students in practicum preparation and evaluation.
The incumbent will engage in activities that support teaching and learning and promote student success, including curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. Beyond teaching duties, the successful candidate will establish an effective learning environment, work collaboratively on program direction, contribute to student recruitment and marketing, develop and maintain industry connections and community partnerships, and participate on Humber Polytechnic and departmental committees while advancing college initiatives including research.
Qualifications- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Experience and training in adult education is strongly preferred.
- Active licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
