Part-Time Accounting Instructor

Teach accounting effectively at Dalhousie University as a Part-Time Academic from September to December 2026. This unique position combines online sessions with in-person intensive teaching in Toronto and Halifax.

As a qualified Part-Time Academic, you will conduct weekly classes focusing on both theoretical and applied aspects of accounting. Your experience must include teaching at the graduate level and the ability to engage students with real-world applications. You will foster a supportive learning environment, conducting lectures and consultations to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures and course materials

• Prepare and evaluate tests and assignments

• Provide bi-weekly student consultations

• Meet with faculty team monthly on course integration

• Incorporate industry themes and guest speakers

Requirements:

• Relevant Master's or PhD degree in accounting

• Established teaching experience at the graduate level

• Familiarity with online teaching formats

• Knowledge of Brightspace learning management

• Proven record of effective oral and written communication
