Qualifications
Education:
Preference is given to current Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) graduate students in MASc or PhD. Other applicants will be considered if no qualified TMU graduate student is available.
Experience:
A robust research background and in-depth knowledge of the subject material is required.
- Relevant software/hardware experience in subject matter.
- Past AA experience is an asset.

Preparation, lab/tutorial grading and other duties:
- Prepare for labs/tutorials in order to have a strong grasp of content, procedures and assignments.
- Grade lab/tutorial related assessments.
- Prepare lab/tutorial materials as needed.
- Other relevant duties as needed.
Invigilation:
- Invigilate midterm and final exams.
- Proctor in lab tests, exams, and quizzes.
- Preparation of invigilation duties: up to 7 hours/term for first section only.
Lab supervision and facilitation:
- Set up experiments.
- Supervise and facilitate labs/tutorials.
- Demonstrate and explain the use of equipment.
- Help students perform technical procedures and solve given lab/tutorial-related assignments.
- Assist students in project work in specified laboratories/tutorials.
- Estimated 24 hours/term for lab supervision and facilitation.
Other duties:
- Assist with marking assignments/lab reports and quizzes/tests/exams.
- Help students perform and solve given lab/tutorial-related assignments.
Fall 2026 AA for ELE
754 Power Electronics:
- Preparation, invigilation: up to 7 hours/term for first section only.
- Preparation, lab/tutorial grading and other duties: 9 hours/term.
- Lab supervision and facilitation: 24 hours/term.
- Estimated total hours: 40 for first section, 33 for additional sections.
- Maximum number of registered students per section: 22.

Salary & CompensationSeptember 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025:
Master – $49.93 per hour, PhD – $53.91 per hour.
September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026:
Master – $51.17 per hour, PhD – $55.26 per hour.
