Description:
Through a series of thematic modules based on everyday communicative situations in contemporary Poland students develop Polish language skills in the four linguistic competencies: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The course is based on a communicative-functional approach to language. It means that even though students are regularly exposed to new grammatical structures, their work focuses primarily on practical, diverse uses of language in real-life situations.

Minimum Qualifications: M.A. degree in Slavic Languages and Cultures required, Ph.D. preferred. Native fluency or near native in spoken and written Polish and near native English
required.Preferred qualifications: Prior Polish language teaching experience, and teaching at the UofT is desirable

Preparing for classes, teaching in class, designing and administering and grading assignments as appropriate, providing students with adequate feedback. There is a graduate component to this class.
