This full-time position, effective July 1, 2026, serves first Nations, Métis, Inuit, or North American Indigenous peoples. You will implement Indigenous methodologies in library services, supporting research and community engagement. Ideal for candidates passionate about enhancing the Indigenous experience in academia through tailored library services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on advancing Indigenous teaching and learning
• Implement Indigenous research methodologies in library functions
• Serve as a subject liaison based on your expertise
• Provide research assistance through in-person and virtual platforms
• Engage in scholarly research and library committee activities
Requirements:
• MLS, MLIS, MISt, or equivalent degree
• Evidence of Indigenous lived experiences and community ties
• Strong understanding of Indigenous data sovereignty
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Elevate Indigenous perspectives in academic libraries and contribute significantly to Toronto Metropolitan University's mission.
