Join Brock University as a Teaching Assistant for LING 2P51 Applied Phonetics. This role includes delivering seminars, grading assignments, and providing student support throughout the course.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will coordinate classes and conduct lab demonstrations while preparing materials and holding office hours for consultation. Your responsibilities include managing course administration, attending lectures, and potentially taking on additional duties per union agreements. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are key to supporting student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver seminars and lab demonstrations to students
• Prepare seminar materials and hold office hours
• Grade assignments and administer examinations
• Perform course administration and attend lectures
• Complete additional duties as per union rules
Requirements:
• Four-year BA completed or fourth-year admission with 85% major average
• Must have taken LING 2P51 with an 85% or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required
• Proficient in Excel and managing course records
• Compliance with collective agreement rules
