Position: Learning & Program Enablement Lead (Contract)

Position  – 6‑month contract.

Location:

Greater Toronto Area (Hybrid – 3 days in office). Annualized Salary Range: $82,900 – $103,700. Hourly rate:
Up to $53.18 per hour based on experience.

About Our Client:
Our client, a well‑established professional regulatory and membership organization, is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to support the rollout of a large‑scale professional program transformation. This is a 6‑month contract position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Toronto (TTC subway line
1). We are looking for someone with 3½+ years of progressive experience designing learning experiences, instructional content, or training programs in a corporate, post‑secondary, or professional education environment. Exceptional writing ability is essential. You have a talent for taking complex information and transforming it into clear, engaging, user‑friendly learning content. Whether developing training guides, SOPs, user documentation, online learning modules, or presentations, your writing is concise, polished, and easy to understand.

Reporting into a senior leadership team, you will lead the design and implementation of learning programs that prepare multiple stakeholder groups to successfully adopt new processes, tools, and ways of working.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the end‑to‑end design and development of online, self‑paced learning programs from concept through launch.
  • Designing curriculum, learning journeys, learning objectives, and instructional materials using adult learning best practices.
  • Developing facilitator guides, user manuals, presentation decks, job aids, and other supporting documentation.
  • Planning and facilitating virtual and in‑person training sessions for multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Leading user research activities, focus groups, workshops, and feedback sessions to validate learning needs and improve the learner experience.
  • Supporting the implementation and adoption of a new digital platform through onboarding, knowledge transfer, and user enablement initiatives.
  • Monitoring user feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance learning materials and improve adoption strategies.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts, project teams, and external vendors to ensure high‑quality learning solutions are delivered on time.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, recommending enhancements, and refining learning resources over time.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3.5 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education, and Organizational Development.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering online, instructor‑led, and self‑paced learning programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learner engagement strategies.
  • Experience facilitating training sessions for train‑the‑trainer and stakeholder engagement activities in both virtual and in‑person environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e‑learning technologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, user‑friendly learning content.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Post‑secondary education in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or e‑learning are considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting learning initiatives within professional services, higher education, associations, certification bodies, or regulated environments is considered an asset.
