OCAD University seeks a Sessional Instructor for its Animation:
Critical Perspectives course for Fall/Winter 2026-27. Engage students in critical discussions of animation’s socio-cultural significance.
The Faculty of Arts & Science at OCAD University is looking for a qualified instructor for a 0.5 credit course. You should have a terminal degree in art or design, along with a passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include course development, lectures, critiques, grading, and ensuring compliance with academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive course outline and materials
• Deliver lectures and facilitate studio sessions
• Conduct mid-term evaluations and final reviews
• Ensure health and safety compliance in coursework
• Maintain academic standards and meet deadlines
Requirements:
• Terminal degree in art, design, or related fields
• Experience teaching at the post-secondary level preferred
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to promote inclusivity in learning environments
• Eligible to work in Canada with appropriate documentation
