Join Humber's Accessible Learning Services as a Full-Time Accommodation Advisor and champion inclusive education. You'll guide learners with disabilities through tailored academic support strategies for a successful learning journey.
As part of the Student Wellness and Equitable Learning team, you will promote self-advocacy and develop individualized accommodation plans for students facing barriers. With a focus on collaborative approaches, the role emphasizes communication with faculty while ensuring academic integrity is maintained within program requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake interviews to assess learners’ needs
• Develop and implement personalized accommodation plans
• Liaise with faculty to align accommodations with course criteria
• Facilitate case conferences regarding learner needs
• Organize information sessions on accessibility services
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Counseling, Disability Studies, or similar
• Minimum three years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of legislation affecting disability
• Proficient in using educational technology and databases
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
