Sessional Lecturer in Environmental Science

In this position, you will teach an undergraduate course focused on environmental impact assessments, auditing practices, and their socio-economic implications. With enrollment projected at 120 students, you will oversee course development, lecture preparation, and assessment delivery. A PhD or MSc in Environmental Science and at least 3 years of experience is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain course materials and communicate grades via Quercus
• Create assignments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student learning
• Provide guidance and support for TAs and students throughout the course
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during fieldwork
• Submit comprehensive final grades at the end of the course
Requirements:
• PhD or MSc in Environmental Science or closely related field
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the college level
• Familiarity with environmental auditing and risk assessment
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Empathy towards student concerns and learning needs
