The Department of Arts, Culture and Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough is looking for a qualified Sessional Lecturer. Ideal candidates should possess a graduate degree in music and significant experience with popular music performance. Responsibilities include course content development, teaching, grading, and holding office hours for student support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lessons in small ensemble performance
• Develop and administer assignments and final portfolios
• Calculate and submit student grades in a timely manner
• Conduct regular office hours for student interaction
• Oversee public presentations and group recitals
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in music with performance experience
• Background in popular music styles such as jazz and rock
• Experience with music technology preferred
• Teaching experience at the university level desired
• Ability to facilitate student learning through diverse methods
