The University of Toronto is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the course LIN/LTL
486H5F on Fridays from 11 am to 1 pm. Ideal candidates will possess native or near-native fluency in French, expertise in second-language education, and a strong command of cross-cultural communication principles. Responsibilities include designing the course, grading assessments, and providing student support through office hours and email interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver a comprehensive course on cross-cultural communication
• Interact with students via email and office hours
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments and exams
• Order necessary readings for course use
• Supervise any teaching assistants if assigned
Requirements:
• Native or near-native fluency in French
• Specialization in second-language education or applied linguistics
• Mastery of cross-cultural communication materials
• Experience with similar courses preferred
• Advanced rank preference for Sessional Lecturer II or III
