The University of Toronto Mississauga seeks a Sessional Lecturer for the STA
256H5F course. This position is ideal for candidates with a Ph.D. or advanced level of mastery in Statistics, focused on probability distributions and statistical modeling. Responsibilities include planning lectures, grading, and communication with students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver engaging lectures and tutorials
• Create assignments and manage grading schemes
• Provide office hours for student support
• Invigilate final exams and manage grades
• Handle student petitions and makeup exams
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Statistics or nearly completed
• Exceptional candidates with a Master's in Statistics considered
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in advanced teaching preferred
• Evidence of excellence in teaching is an asset
