All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact; supervision of TA assigned to the course. Additionally, there is an expectation to teach experientially with role plays, games, simulations, and cases, and to debrief these activities by integrating theory and research.
Instructors may also have a WIL project for students with staff support.
Minimum: A master s degree in industrial relations and human resources or organizational behaviour/industrial-organizational psychology with at least 1 graduate course in leadership OR a master s in social/personality psychology with at least 2 graduate courses in organizational psychology relevant to leadership. Strong academic record and teaching experience at undergraduate level or related activities. Excellent oral and written communication. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to provide course outlines and teaching evaluations.
They may also provide an independently written research paper or give a lecture during review.
Preferred:
PhD in Organizational Behavior or Industrial-Organizational Psychology OR a related field with further graduate leadership courses; strong teaching experience and evaluations.
Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.
Salary/RateSalary for a half-course (0.50 FCEs) including vacation pay:
Sessional Lecturer I rate around $9,999.47; I-Long Term $10,699.22; II $10,699.22; II-Long Term $10,953.96; III $10,953.96; III-Long Term $11,228.90. Closing date: 07/22/2026, 11:59 PM EDT.
