The University of Toronto invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach PLIC
54H3 Speech Physiology and Speech Disorders in the Fall 2026 term. This opportunity integrates physics of sound with practical speech assessment knowledge.
Ideal candidates possess a PhD in Speech Language Pathology and relevant clinical experience with both adult and child speech disorders. Prior teaching experience in this course or similar is critical. You will drive student engagement and understanding in a supportive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design the curriculum for the university course
• Prepare and present comprehensive course lectures
• Create and evaluate student assignments and exams
• Submit final grades and feedback efficiently
• Provide regular office hours for individual student assistance
Requirements:
• PhD in Speech Language Pathology or a related field
• Clinical experience in speech evaluation and treatment
• Teaching experience with similar academic courses
