Teach Polish for Beginners II as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto. Engage students through interactive learning with a focus on practical language skills.
The position for SLA
116H1S requires a dynamic educator to lead classes from January to April 2027. Candidates should hold an M.A. in Slavic Languages and Cultures and exhibit native or near-native fluency in both Polish and English. Previous teaching experience at UofT is highly valued, ensuring a smooth transition into this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and teach classes on Polish language skills
• Create and evaluate assignments and tests
• Offer timely feedback to enhance student performance
• Conduct interactive activities in class
• Focus on all language skills with special emphasis on speaking
Requirements:
• M.A. in Slavic Languages and Cultures necessary
• Ph.D. preferred for higher expertise
• Experience teaching Polish is a plus
• Native or near-native proficiency in Polish and English
• Adaptable to in-person and remote teaching methods
Foster Polish language proficiency and cultural understanding at the University of Toronto.
