Part-Time Library Technician

Position: Part-Time Library Technician Opportunity
Join a specialized government library as a Part-Time Library Technician in North Toronto. Focus on circulation, processing, and shelving library materials while working onsite.

This temporary part-time role is scheduled from February 23, 2026, to June 19, 2026, and includes three days of work each week. Responsibilities include check-in/out duties using SYMPHONY, supporting acquisitions, and organizing library collections. A minimum of 6 months of experience in shelving is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct circulation duties using library systems

• Aid in library acquisitions and management

• Organize and label library materials

• Manage surplus materials for disposal

• Prepare materials for digitization

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of post-secondary education in library science

• 6 months of shelving experience in libraries

• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Knowledge of integrated library systems

• Effective English communication skills
