Upper Elementary Classroom Assistant

Join Westside Montessori School as a full-time Upper Elementary Classroom Assistant in Dufferin Grove, Toronto. Support Grades 4-6 students in a nurturing and organized Montessori environment.

This role requires effective communication and adaptability while working alongside a classroom guide. You will assist in maintaining classroom materials, support students in selecting their work, and foster a peaceful learning space. An interest in Montessori philosophy and a positive approach to education will enhance the student experience in this supportive role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and maintaining classroom materials

• Support students with work choices and routines

• Help respect lessons and focused work periods

• Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution

• Welcome students during arrival and dismissal

Requirements:

• Legally eligible to work in Canada

• Reliable commute to Dufferin Grove campus

• Clear police reference check (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Enjoy outdoor activities with children
