This role offers in-person and online critical analysis instruction, supporting diverse learners.
The Writing Support Instructor will engage with students across all disciplines, providing tailored one-to-one writing instruction for the Fall 2026 – Winter 2027 term. Responsibilities include facilitating writing workshops, developing instructional materials, and collaborating with faculty to enhance academic writing. Your expertise will help students navigate modes of argument, research skills, and effective drafting and revising of texts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write instruction on critical reading and argumentation
• Provide individual writing support to all levels of students
• Facilitate writing retreats and small group discussions
• Collaborate with instructors to create tailored workshops
• Develop pedagogical materials for diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience in university-level academic writing instruction
• Familiarity with disciplines at University of Toronto Scarborough
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Excellent communication skills for teaching and collaboration
