  • Teach campers practical cooking skills such as prepping ingredients, timing, heat management, flavour balancing, and plating
  • Introduce nutritional concepts in a fun and accessible way, helping campers understand the value of healthy eating
  • Guide campers through themed recipes and hands‑on meal preparation activities
  • Maintain a strong focus on kitchen safety, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and food
  • Supervise campers throughout cooking activities, transitions, and breaks to ensure safety and positive behaviour
  • Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, ingredient preparation, and material organization
  • Create an inclusive and encouraging environment that promotes confidence, creativity, and participation
  • Build positive relationships with campers, families, and TAC Sports staff
  • Follow TAC Sports’ program plans, safety procedures, and child supervision standards at all times
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in camps, education, recreation, or youth programs
  • Interest in cooking, nutrition, and healthy living, with the ability to make learning fun and engaging
  • Comfortable leading hands‑on food preparation activities with children
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Energetic, patient, and organized in a camp or classroom‑style setting
  • Background in nutrition, culinary arts, education, recreation, or a related field is an asset
  • First Aid/CPR certification and Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain them, preferred
What We Offer
  • Full‑time summer employment with a growing youth sports and enrichment organization
  • A fun, active, and supportive team environment
  • Meaningful work helping children build lifelong cooking skills and healthy habits
  • A dynamic role combining hands‑on instruction, creativity, and camp programming
