Position: Assistant Teacher at Family Day
Enhance early childhood education with Family Day as an Assistant Teacher at Thorn Lodge. Collaborate with E.C.E. Teachers to deliver a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Family Day, a leading child care organization, is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the September 1, 2026, start date. This role will work alongside experienced educators in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 0-12. Your passion for child care will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive atmosphere while addressing diverse individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the High/Scope® educational approach

• Assist in program planning reflective of children's interests

• Participate in planning and evaluation activities

• Observe and assess children's progress regularly

• Facilitate individual plans for special needs children

Requirements:

• Experience in child care or educational settings

• Knowledge of early learning best practices

• Skills in communication, teamwork, and organization

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification

• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
