Join OCAD University's Faculty of Arts and Science as a Sessional Instructor for the Extraordinary Bodies course in Fall/Winter 2026-27. This role focuses on teaching how cultural narratives shape perceptions of diverse bodies.
We are currently inviting applications for this anticipated temporary position. Applicants should have a terminal degree in art or design and demonstrate a passion for education. As part of this course, you'll engage students in examining the portrayal of diversity in art, literature, and film.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed course outlines and lesson plans
• Deliver compelling lectures and manage class discussions
• Assess student performance with mid-term and final evaluations
• Ensure a safe and compliant teaching environment
• Meet all academic and evaluation deadlines
Requirements:
• Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant experience
• Teaching experience at the post-secondary level advantageous
• Strong skills in communication and teamwork
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Must have the right to work in Canada
Lead discussions that shape students’ understanding of inclusion in art at OCAD University.
