Become a catalyst for artistic education as a Sessional Instructor in Conceptual Art Practices at OCAD University for Fall/Winter 2026-27. Drive artistry and understanding through your lectures and critiques.
Candidates should hold a terminal degree in art, design, or a relevant discipline and possess strong teaching skills. Responsibilities encompass developing studio sessions, evaluating student work, and ensuring compliance with curricular standards. You will help cultivate a nurturing atmosphere that values diversity and creativity among students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive course materials and outlines
• Lead lectures and facilitate engaging studio discussions
• Assess student performance through evaluations
• Uphold health and safety standards in teaching
• Encourage an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
Requirements:
• Terminal degree or equivalent experience required
• Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Proven commitment to inclusivity and equity in education
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
