Teach the Art & Law course at OCAD University for Fall/Winter 2026-27 as a Sessional Instructor. This role provides an in-depth exploration of art's legal contexts during in-person classes.
As part of the Faculty of Arts & Science, you will facilitate a course that focuses on the legal considerations impacting artists and art creations. Responsibilities include course outline preparation, delivering lectures, and assessing students, while creating a respectful and inclusive educational environment. Candidates must have a terminal degree or pertinent professional experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design cohesive course outlines and learning objectives
• Deliver lectures and lead practical critiques
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
• Meet institutional deadlines and requirements
Requirements:
• Terminal degree in relevant field or similar professional experience
• Experience teaching at a post-secondary level preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven track record in promoting inclusive education
• Eligibility to work in Canada necessary
