Shape future scholars at the University of St. Michael’s College as a Teaching Assistant for the Information Literacy course. Engage students through grading, advising, and leading tutorials in person.
This Teaching Assistant position covers 170 hours from August 24, 2026 to May 10, 2027. Candidates must possess an MA and demonstrate strong communication skills. Applicants whose studies and research align with Book & Media Studies are preferred, ensuring effective support for students mastering academic and media literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise students on assignments and course material
• Grade student submissions thoroughly and fairly
• Lead engaging tutorials in person every Thursday
• Participate in online discussions to enhance learning
• Foster skills in research, writing, and media analysis
Requirements:
• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Strong written and oral communication abilities
• Relevant study and research alignment with the course focus
• Commitment to in-person delivery of tutorials
• Experience in advising or teaching roles preferred
