Position: Full-Time Guidance Counsellor

TVO is looking for a full-time Guidance Counsellor to enhance the educational experience at Ontario's largest online secondary school. This role encompasses supporting students with diploma requirements, implementing guidance practices, and utilizing data-driven evaluation methods. Candidates must be passionate about leveraging educational resources through a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum and guidance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise effectively with students, parents, and educators

• Administer diploma assessments and support EQAO testing

• Develop and implement accommodation plans as needed

• Evaluate learning opportunities for diverse student needs

• Collaborate with colleagues on student issues and concerns

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers membership with Guidance qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Education policies

• Experience in special education and accommodation strategies

• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills

• Familiarity with technology in educational settings
