The Faculty of Design at OCAD University is seeking a Sessional Instructor for a course in Professional Practice for the upcoming semester. This role requires expertise in Architecture and Interior Design. You’ll guide students through critical design processes, providing feedback and maintaining an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop course outlines and deliver engaging lectures
• Provide constructive feedback for iterative student work
• Guide students on research-based design processes
• Maintain health & safety protocols and academic standards
• Prepare course-based Research Ethics Board applications
Requirements:
• Established body of work in relevant design disciplines
• Aptitude for iterative, process-oriented teaching
• Teaching experience at undergraduate level preferred
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning space
• Capacity for design research in qualitative approaches
