OCAD University seeks a Sessional Instructor for the ED:
Personal Space course in Fall 2026-27. This role focuses on teaching spatial design principles within the Faculty of Design and requires hands-on classroom engagement.
As a Sessional Instructor, you will develop course outlines and guide students through iterative design processes in a studio environment. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, evaluating student work, and ensuring a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere. You will oversee all aspects of the course from planning to execution while promoting design research and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive course outlines and materials
• Deliver lectures and studio sessions effectively
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student projects
• Maintain an inclusive and accessible studio environment
• Support ethical research standards in student projects
Requirements:
• Strong portfolio in design or related field
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred
• Ability to foster a respectful learning environment
• Experience in iterative design processes
• Eligible to work in Canada
