OCAD University invites applicants for a Sessional Instructor in Sustainable Paint & Processes for Fall 2026. Engage students in hands-on learning focused on ecological material choices while emphasizing safety and sustainability.
In this role, you will develop course outlines and facilitate studio learning experiences at OCAD University. The position requires teaching critical concepts in sustainable materials and techniques while constructing a respectful and inclusive classroom. Experience teaching at the post-secondary level and strong communication skills are essential to guide and mentor students as they explore creative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and prepare course outlines and lectures
• Conduct studio preparation and facilitate group critiques
• Assess student projects through evaluations and reviews
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
• Mentor and supervise Teaching Assistants as needed
Requirements:
• Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant field
• Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Leadership in promoting an inclusive learning environment
• Eligibility to work in Canada with relevant permits
