Access and Retrieval Associate at UTL

Join the University of Toronto Libraries as a Senior High Density Access and Retrieval Associate. Your expertise will support material processing and access coordination at the Downsview campus.

In this key role, you will assist in processing library materials, liaising with departments, and providing crucial information services to library users. Your responsibilities will also include running workflows and using specialized equipment for material handling as well as shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead processing and access efforts for Downsview collections

• Liaise with internal departments and external partners

• Provide responses to inquiries and material requests

• Operate fork-lift for material handling and shipping

• Ensure detailed workflow compliance and record maintenance

Requirements:

• Some post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• At least one year in a library or similar setting

• Familiarity with library database systems

• Strong problem-solving and time management skills

• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities
