Position: Sessional Instructor for ED Thesis Studio 1
Help shape future designers as a Sessional Instructor for ED Thesis Studio 1 at OCAD University in Fall 2026-27. This role involves guiding graduate students through their significant thesis projects.

You will join the Faculty of Design at Canada's premier art and design university, engaging students in a comprehensive exploration of design hypotheses. Key responsibilities include developing course outlines, delivering lectures, and facilitating critiques. Your expertise in iterative, research-based design will be pivotal in supporting students' creative processes and ensuring an inclusive studio environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop course outlines and studio materials

• Guide students through iterative design processes

• Provide constructive feedback on student work

• Draft course-based Research Ethics Board applications

• Ensure health & safety compliance in the studio

Requirements:

• Current professional portfolio in design disciplines

• Experience in iterative design methodologies

• Two years of undergraduate teaching experience preferred

• Capacity to support design research initiatives

• Commitment to an inclusive teaching environment
