Join OCAD University as a Sessional Instructor for Human Centered Design in Fall 2026. Teach students to apply empathic research methods to create user-centric design solutions.
This fixed-term role at the Faculty of Design engages you in the INDS-2016 course. Students will learn to analyze user needs and prototype innovative products and services. Responsibilities involve course preparation, teaching, and providing detailed feedback while maintaining an inclusive learning environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and outline course content for effective delivery
• Conduct detailed lectures and critiques to enhance learning
• Mentor students in their design process and prototyping
• Provide comprehensive evaluations of student work
• Ensure adherence to health & safety and academic standards
Requirements:
• Strong background in user-centered research methodologies
• Previous teaching experience in design disciplines
• Advanced degree (MDes) preferred or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in design ethics protocols
• Ability to address diverse community needs in design
