Director of Faculty Academic Coaching

Lead the Faculty Academic Coaching initiative at York University’s School of Medicine. This role focuses on creating impactful coaching strategies for MD students to enhance their professional success.

As the Director, you will design and implement a coaching framework that promotes continuous improvement and learner engagement. By mentoring Faculty Academic Coaches, you will ensure that coaching aligns with York University’s vision and values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Your efforts will greatly contribute to the overall academic climate and success of MD students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and refine an effective MD coaching program

• Recruit and guide Faculty Academic Coaches

• Foster learner academic performance and growth

• Create structures for effective coaching sessions

• Collaborate on curriculum and assessment integration

Requirements:

• Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree

• Previous coach training or certification is essential

• Background in medical education and learner support

• Proven leadership in coaching or mentoring roles

• Knowledge of accreditation processes in medical education
