Lay Pastoral Associate at St. Timothy’s

Join St. Timothy’s Parish as a full-time Lay Pastoral Associate, overseeing sacramental preparations and faith formation programs. Your leadership will facilitate meaningful spiritual journeys in North York, ON.

This full-time role involves coordinating sacramental preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation, as well as managing the RCIA ministry. You will work collaboratively with parish teams and lead significant ministry events, contributing to the spiritual growth of parishioners. Ideal candidates will display administration, teaching, and facilitation skills necessary for fostering community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate sacramental preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation

• Teach First Holy Communion programs in local Catholic schools

• Plan and lead the RCIA process for adult initiation

• Organize ministry events as directed by the pastor

• Facilitate faith formation programs for parents and candidates

Requirements:

• M.Div., M.A. Theology, M.R.E., or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Knowledge of Catholic Church tenets and culture

• Valid driver’s license is an asset
