Position TitleProgram Coordinator (Part-time), Music Business
Duration of Need3 year term beginning April 1st to August 31st 2027. Up to 10 hours per week.

Program Coordinator AllowanceAs per Article 14.03 A 3 of the Academic Collective Agreement, a Coordinator’s allowance will be paid in addition to the successful candidate’s compensation as a Professor.
About the Program Coordinator RoleThe Program Coordinator will contribute to curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessing student progress and achievement, as well as managing classes. The successful candidate is expected to establish an effective learning environment and work collaboratively as a team member. Additionally, the successful applicant will play an active role in student advising, recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will also develop community partnerships and participate in Humber Polytechnic and departmental committees to advance the institution’s initiatives.
This individual will contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with its promotion and marketing and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.

EducationAt a minimum, the successful candidate will have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience/SkillsThe successful candidate will be a Professor with a minimum of two years of teaching experience, possess well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate ability in curriculum development and delivery.
The successful candidate will also have demonstrated prior teaching experience, possess well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate ability in curriculum development and delivery. Candidate must have prior experience working in the music industry, with expert knowledge in music business.
In addition, the successful candidate will have engaging and effective teaching skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student-focused approach, and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture.
The successful candidate will possess well developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and have demonstrated ability to contribute positively to curriculum development and delivery.
