Sessional Instructional Assistant in Finance

Support Finance students as a Sessional Instructional Assistant at the University of Toronto from September to December 2026. Engage in online tutorials, mark assignments, and aid in exam invigilation.

This role is ideal for graduate students in Finance or Economics with upper-level coursework experience. You will conduct synchronous sessions, assist students with their assignments, and manage communications via email. Marking responsibilities include assignments and final exams, ensuring you provide quality feedback to enhance student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be available online during scheduled class hours

• Prepare by reading cases for assignment marking

• Meet students occasionally to discuss assignments

• Invigilate and assist during final examinations

• Utilize Quercus for course management

Requirements:

• Graduate student in Finance or Economics

• Completed upper-level undergraduate and graduate finance courses

• Comfortable with synchronous online tutorials

• Strong communication skills for student consultations

• Ability to uphold the University’s diversity commitment
