Full-Time Guidance Counsellor Role

Join TVO as a Guidance Counsellor and make a difference in education. This full-time position offers the chance to implement guidance practices and mentor students effectively.

As part of TVO's team, you will engage with students and staff in Ontario’s largest online secondary school. This role involves advising on diploma requirements and assessments while leveraging your expertise in guidance education. You will be instrumental in developing and executing accommodation plans and supporting administrative services related to student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders on guidance services

• Support diploma assessments and PLAR initiatives

• Facilitate Education Quality and Accountability Office testing

• Address student issues with Administrative Services

• Create and manage individual student accommodation plans

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers membership with specialization

• Familiarity with Ontario educational policies

• Proven leadership in fostering inclusive educational practices

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

• Experience working with Indigenous students is beneficial
