Your role will involve teaching and mentoring graduate design students in a self-directed thesis environment.
As a member of the Faculty of Design, you will engage with students in guiding their thesis projects through comprehensive ideation and design research. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering course content, providing constructive critiques, and ensuring an accessible studio space. Your academic and professional expertise will enhance the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and prepare lecture materials for students
• Assist students in their design research processes
• Deliver feedback and conduct mid-term and final evaluations
• Maintain an inclusive and safe studio for all participants
• Support ethical compliance in student research
Requirements:
• Professional design portfolio relevant to course
• Strong experience with iterative processes
• Teaching experience in a related field is an asset
• Proven ability to create inclusive environments
• Knowledge of ethical considerations in design
Contribute to a collaborative design community and inspire future talent at OCAD University.
