Instructor for Sustainable Paint Processes

Be a part of OCAD University’s vibrant Faculty of Art as a Sessional Instructor for Sustainable Paint & Processes in Fall 2026. Teach students about ecological paints and processes within a safety-conscious studio.

This position involves teaching sustainable practices while preparing course materials and delivering engaging lectures. You will guide students in exploring the relationship between material choices and environmental impact, ensuring a collaborative learning space. Successful candidates will demonstrate post-secondary teaching experience and the ability to foster inclusivity in the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create course outlines and prepare studio environments

• Deliver lectures and facilitate student-led workshops

• Evaluate student work through constructive feedback

• Promote adherence to health and safety protocols

• Provide mentorship to Teaching Assistants for effective guidance

Requirements:

• Terminal degree in art, design, or related discipline

• Prior experience teaching in higher education settings

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

• Valid work eligibility in Canada
