Ballet Teacher for Women's Technique & Pointe

Lead the next generation of dancers with Canada’s National Ballet School as a Ballet Teacher focused on Women's Technique and Pointe. Engage students in a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

This part-time contract role entails delivering comprehensive dance instruction in the Young Dancers Program. Reporting to the Head of Comprehensive Dance Programs, you will create an engaging atmosphere that enhances students' technical abilities and artistic confidence. Collaboration with faculty will be essential in refining curriculum and supporting student performances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ballet and pointe classes that emphasize technical and artistic growth

• Provide tailored instruction for diverse learning needs

• Supervise rehearsals and stage performances for students

• Participate in auditions as a member of the assessment panel

• Keep detailed records of student attendance and performance progress

Requirements:

• Degree in Dance or teaching qualifications preferred

• Five or more years of relevant teaching experience

• Strong knowledge of ballet techniques and classroom management

• Ability to foster positive relationships with students and families

• A commitment to student-centered teaching methods
