The teamAt Toronto Metropolitan University’s Career, Co-op & Student Success Centre (CC&SS), we support students’ navigation of their academic, personal and career success. Our work includes career advising, central co-op program oversight, employer engagement and student success supports such as the First Year Experience initiative and the Student Success Navigator team. We are committed to providing our students and alumni with innovative support and development skills so they can excel during their time at the University and into their careers as graduates.
TheOpportunity
As a Career Education Specialist, you will design, develop, deliver and evaluate a Faculty-wide Career Development Program, including the creation of career-related resource materials to support students’ professional development. This role will work collaboratively with faculty stakeholders, the Employer Engagement team, the Co-op Specialist team, and the Student Success team to provide, in keeping with the curriculum, a full suite of career education and student success offerings for a diverse group of students and alumni.
Additionally, they will complement the Faculty’s delivery, develop stakeholder partnerships with other units/departments in the university, and design and implement career education programs tailored to the distinct needs of diverse student and alumni groups across campus. We expect the successful candidate for this role to be aligned with and support The Creative School.
- Develops and delivers a Career Development Program (CDP) to students for the assigned Faculty. The CDP is based on academic program content, labour market trends, global best practice and student learning needs.
