The University of Toronto is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the PHL
295H1F course in Business Ethics for the Fall 2026 semester. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in philosophy and possess teaching experience and a strong academic record. The course examines the moral responsibilities of business, calculated social costs and benefits, and the influence of political institutions on business practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive course content
• Develop and grade assignments effectively
• Calculate and submit student grades accurately
• Hold office hours for student assistance
• Engage in relevant research and academic scholarship
Requirements:
• Doctorate in philosophy required
• Demonstrated teaching excellence preferred
• Strong academic and professional promise
• Recent and relevant teaching experience necessary
