Auxiliary AI & Machine Learning with Python Instructor (Summer 2026)
Circuit Stream is a leader in future technology skills training and learning content. We offer world-class educational services for teen and adult learners with a focus on the skills needed to leverage immersive and emerging technology.
We are seeking a Software Engineer or AI/ML Developers with a deep understanding of AI and machine learning to join our instructor roster for our Level 1 & Level 2 AI and Machine Learning with Python courses for learners aged 13-18.
- In Level 1, students will be learning the algorithms and techniques behind recommendation systems, and how to combine it with a smart, interactive chatbot.
- In Level 2, students will go beyond the basics of building machine learning models and learn how to deploy them using Streamlit, a powerful framework for creating shareable, web-based AI applications.
This is an auxiliary (substitute) instructor opportunity for Summer 2026. As part of our instructor roster, you'll be one of our trusted educators who can step in when needed to support our students.
If our lead instructor is unavailable due to planned or unexpected leave, you'll confidently deliver our curriculum and ensure students continue to receive the exceptional learning experience Circuit Stream is known for.
The ideal instructor candidates for these courses should possess a strong foundation in Python 3, Python libraries (PyCharm Surprise, Num Py and Scikit-learn), Streamlit, Open AI, machine learning algorithms, as well as some teaching, TA or training experience.
Level 1: AI & Machine Learning with Python (beginner course) is offered 2 times at U of T
Hart House: Auxiliary Instructors should be available to teach from 9:00am-3:30pm ET between July 13-24 and July 27-August 7 if called upon, and attend 2-hour onboarding session in July plus self-directed training prior to stepping into the classroom.
Level 2: AI & Machine Learning with Python (advanced course) is offered 1 time at at U of T
Hart House. Auxiliary Instructors should be available to teach from 9:00am-3:30pm ET between August 10-21 if called upon, and attend 2-hour onboarding session in July plus self-directed training prior to stepping into the classroom.
- Create lesson plans and lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following Circuit Stream's AI & Machine Learning with Python course curriculum for Level 1 or Level 2 (curriculum and Instructor guides provided)
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they ideate, develop, and iterate on their final project:
Chatbot (Level
1) or AI Web App with Streamlit (Level
2) - Showcase proficiency in AI and Machine Learning concepts
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field
- Grade and provide feedback on assignments and final projects that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.
- Availability to teach during the day (9:00 AM - 3:30 PM) between July and August 2026, if called upon.
- Availability to attend 1-2 training days in July prior to teaching.
- Previous industry experience in software engineering or AI and Machine Learning specialties.
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field OR Masters students currently pursuing Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas and scikit-surprise), machine learning concepts and OpenAI API.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
- A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
