Engage students in Caribbean political dynamics as a Sessional Lecturer for CAR
226H1F at the University of Toronto. This in-person role focuses on Caribbean political thought, revolution themes, and independence struggles.

As a sessional lecturer starting September 1, 2026, you will deliver lectures every Monday evening, fostering deep understanding of Caribbean political issues. Required skills include curriculum development, lecture planning, and assessments design. You will also manage office hours for student consultations and oversee course materials on Quercus, CIS, and Emarks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive syllabus and course curriculum

• Deliver engaging in-person lectures and group assignments

• Design and invigilate tests and assignments

• Hold office hours for student engagement

• Manage course grading and content on educational platforms

Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD in Politics, Sociology, or related field

• Experience in higher education teaching preferred

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to equity and diversity

• Ability to handle administrative tasks for undergraduate courses
