The Sessional Lecturer will explore Indigenous and settler narratives in Canadian education, addressing identity and ecological knowledge. You will engage students through seminars dedicated to methodology and assessment strategies while fostering an understanding of Social Studies and Aboriginal Studies integration. Your teaching practices will focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion within K-12 contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver engaging course content
• Provide ongoing support and feedback to students
• Attend planning meetings with course instructors
• Evaluate and assess student assignments
• Integrate Indigenous knowledge in teaching materials
Requirements:
• Doctoral degree or relevant graduate degree
• Experience teaching in K-12 settings
• Expertise demonstrated through publications
• Knowledge of equity and diversity practices
• Ontario teacher certification is an asset
