This casual employment role runs from September 2026 to April 2027 in the Atkinson Centre for Mature and Part-time Students. The Student Success Mentor Lead will oversee a team of mentors, share valuable program insights, and engage in activities that encourage community participation. Your leadership will be crucial in helping students attain their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and lead Student Success mentorship
• Share information about relevant programs
• Organize social and educational community events
• Build strong and supportive relationships
• Support peers in their decision-making processes
Requirements:
• Enrolled as a student at York University
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively towards goals
• Prior experience in peer mentoring is beneficial
• Empathy towards different student needs
