Description:

This course allows 4th-year Specialists students in Strategic Management to deepen and broaden their strategic skills by strengthening their foundational knowledge of the field and by highlighting applications to key strategic management issues facing modern organizations. It will improve students’ ability to think strategically and understand how strategic decisions are made at the higher levels of management.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

Several years' experience as a private-sector manager or management consultant or several years teaching strategic management in a post-secondary context.

Preferred qualifications:

In addition to the minimum, a graduate degree in management.

Duties:

All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours, and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact, supervision of T.A. assigned to course.

Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30

All positions involve the completion of all course grading. You must be available throughout the exam period as exams are scheduled centrally and individual preferences for exam times/dates cannot always be accommodated.

Salary for a half-course (0.50 FCEs) inclusive of vacation pay
:
The Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $9,997.48. Sessional Lecturer I-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,699.22. Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $10,699.22. Sessional Lecturer II-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,953.96. Sessional Lecturer III rate of pay will be $10,953.96. Sessional Lecturer III-Long Term rate of pay will be $11,228.90.
