Early Learning Assistant Teacher Opening

Make an impact in early childhood education at Family Day's Thorn Lodge as an Assistant Teacher starting September 1, 2026. Partner with E.C.E. Teachers to develop enriching programs.

Family Day Care Services invites applications for an Assistant Teacher role aimed at improving child development and learning experiences. Working within a passionate team, you will contribute to program creation and implementation for children from birth to 12 years old.

Your role will emphasize inclusivity, empathy, and successful communication with families and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of diverse educational program plans

• Assist in observing and assessing children's behavior

• Guide children in emotional and social development

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas

• Collaborate on individual plans for special needs.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in childcare or education

• Knowledge of best practices in child care

• Strong teamwork and communication abilities

• Medical screening required including TB test

• Valid police background check needed
